Progress Pride Flag Quilt

Progress Pride Flag Patchwork quilt

I’m very excited to have finished this patchwork Progress Pride Flag quilt. The pattern is by Bobbie Gentili from Geeky Bobbin. All of the fabrics are scraps from my stash.

This was a fun project and the finished quilt is really bright and colorful. As part of this process, I also enjoyed learning more about how the design of the Progress Pride flag came to be.

penguins

November 13, 2006

We are back from a nice weekend in New London with my in-laws. Roxanne got tons and tons of attention from her Mimi and had a great time eating “crispy bacon”, one of Mimi’s specialities and something mommy doesn’t make at home. Before leaving I got these two penguins underway and I finished them upRead More →

patchwork giraffe #3

November 9, 2006

I feel like these guys are running together in a race. I got a HUGE box of vintage patches in the mail – a great eBay score – and I’m so inspired. More patches on things to come.

Her shoes have little matching cloth-covered buttons. I like the new faces on these past two dolls – open eyes are good, I think.

On Saturday I went to a great rummage sale at the Village Church in Wellesley which is right down the street from our house. I picked up a vintage apron, two great cloth napkins (the ladies who work at these things always look at me funny when I don’t want to buy the whole setRead More →

penguin

I am doing a craft fair one week from tonight and I think it is about time to take all the toys down out of the closet and label and price everything. I only can manage one craft fair a year, but it is fun to see people interact with my toys in real lifeRead More →

jumping fish

October 24, 2006

There are two big display cases at the library leading into the children’s section. Right next to them is one of the biggest excitements of any library visit – the aquarium. I’m thinking that in one of the cases I’ll do all sea life – fish, coral, starfish, seahorses. I made this sketch for aRead More →
