The day before we left for vacation the contact sheet from the photo shoot arrived in the mail. And my editor emailed me the edited version of a set of pattern instructions. Armed with these two things, I can go right ahead and write the book. Yep, nothing else standing in the way. Fortunately, we headed out for four days by the ocean the next morning.
Four days of napping on the porch overlooking the harbor.
And generally enjoying eachother's company while enjoying Cape Cod. It was a great way to end the summer. Roxanne starts Kindergarten on Wednesday (I was in tears over lunch today reading this article in today's Globe). I am back on Weight Watchers after a bit of summer excess. And I am going to sit down and write patterns. Really. Hold me to it.
Oh my goodness those pics are stunning! That porch is like my DREAM porch! I am so putting Cape Cod on my list of places to go… I’d love to know the name of the cabin!
Well, you simply must write them, my dear, so as not to deprive us of your book. We’re waiting!
Looking forward to seeing your book in print. Lovely little birds for everyone. Yeah!
I just read your link to the Globe article and it made me cry too…and my little boy is still 3 years away from Kindergarten.
Seriously, I was sobbing over my veggie burger. Tomorrow is her first day!
Best,
-Abby
