third bird for MassHort

March 3, 2007

Dscn0004_2

I bought the blue fabric on this bird’s outer wings at a church rummage sale in Wellesley in the fall. It is actually a cloth napkin and if I’m remembering correctly there was more than one. Why did I only buy one? I think I purposely torture myself.  It has such a bird feathery design and I really like it paired with the vintage blue, orange and white striped shirting. I think the shirting will forever remind me of Humpty Dumpty though.

This bird will join the others at MassHort and the New England Flower Show.  Just one more lizard and three snails left and I can go drop them off.

I think these birds are my favorite thing you’ve made. They are all just so expressive and sweet and wonderful!

I love the pattern of the fabric you used on the wings. I can’t believe that you made this while you were in the midst of all of the work for the library show! By the way, I’ve been able to see your etsy shop now, and it’s a great collection.
