owl in mustard and orange

September 2, 2008

DSCN0003

A new owl. I have had this awesome piece of vintage fabric for several years. It is all seventies orange and mustard and brown with jungle animals all over and periodically the words "let us live" in bubble letters.  Seriously, does fabric get any better than that?  So finally I cut into it for this owl.

A detail of his feet.

And his face.

This guy, along with this set of three hens, a rooster and three eggs will be sent to L.A. shortly for Super Plush.

This looks like it is going to be an amazing show.  Watching everybody's stuff pop up on Flickr as it gets made has been a lot of fun. Everything will be for sale through the gallery once the show opens on September 25.
