Lollipop Doll

July 26, 2005

Here is the Spicy Brown t-shirt I was wearing yesterday

Dscn1326

and here is the lollipop doll, asleep

Dscn1336_1

and awake

Dscn1337_1

Not my favorite project, but it did give me a chance to do shashiko on polka dots, which I wanted to try

Dscn1333_1

and to make some felted beads

from the roving moki gave me.

i think that doll is very creative, and i like the polka dot embroidery, as well as the polka dot fabric and the felt buttons. Maybe Roxy would like to cuddle with it!

I like her! On the t-shirt, she looks like a pez dispenser. It’s hard to tell from the pictures, how tall is the doll? If she’s not too tall, it probably would be a good size for Roxy to carry around (and bang into things). Were the beads difficult to make? They’re very cute. I’ve been wanting to try needle felting, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.

Hello! I just found you via your etsy shop. I just set one up myself and was looking at the other dolls there. I crochet little toys and have been wantin to try a kokeishi doll for some time. I have just finished a batch of russian inspired dolls and want to do a sort of around the world in crochet dolls! I love your blog and the things you make. They are so cute and I am really looking forward to reading more of your blog. I am a Mum of 3 little boys 5,3 and 1 and live in Australia
