lime rickey

August 20, 2009

DSC_0023

We've been making a really good lime rickey here with Monin sugar free raspberry syrup.  Maybe you've seen Monin syrups at the coffee shop.  It is awesome to have them at home.  For the lime rickey juice a lime into a glass of ice, add a bit of syrup and fill the glass with seltzer.  Then give it a stir. I promise you'll like this.  It is especially good sipped through a straw.

We also like the almond sugar free syrup poured into a glass of iced seltzer. It's like the best diet soda ever, with no caffeine and you control the sweetness and intensity.  I think it would be good in coffee, too, but I haven't tried it yet. Hop on over to the Monin website and check it out.  They also have the regular sugar type if sugar free is not your thing.

now this sounds really refreshing. Is it like an ice tea?

Yes, but maybe more like a raspberry soda? I just made one a minute ago and it is very very nice on a warm night in August.
