Happy Mother’s Day

May 8, 2011

Happy Mother's Day to you!  And to my mom, Myra,  who is in Crete right now on vacation with my dad having a great adventure, I'm sure.

IMG_0001
Here we are in August of 1981 on my 6th birthday.  My brother, Matt, is 11 and my sister, Rachel, is less than a month old (she is turning 30 in July!).  Now that I have three kids myself I can imagine all too clearly how busy her life was then.

I hope you have a great day, perhaps with a little time to yourself.  The gift of time is wonderful thing, you know, and it's free!

Happy mother’s day Abby. Hope you get some time for yourself today! I just love seeing these old family photos. Look how tiny your sister was.

lovely picture – your sister looks like a little doll!
Isn’t it funny how having children makes you look back with a completely different view?!
My little sister is ten years younger than me and just had her first baby – and now she’s seeing me differently too (and apologising for saying ‘just get a grip’ so often!!!)

Hey Abby, hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day too.
I think the gift of time is one of the best pressies ever. It may be free but can be very elusive, that’s why it’s so precious.
