Happy Halloween!

Roxanne is Amelia Earhart. We drifted from our presidential theme of years past (here is Roxanne as Lincoln in Kindergarten and Washington in first grade), but still chose a figure from history. We found a leather aviator helmet online and a jacket at the thrift shop. I made a white aviator scarf and we bought some steampunk goggles from this Etsy shop.

And Stella is an astronaut.  Her helmet is from this Etsy shop.

Excuse the cell phone picture. I took this a few weeks ago when I made her costume. It is freezing here today, with snow on the ground, so she couldn't wear her costume to watch the school parade. I had to put her in a snow suit!

SO cute! Amelia Erhart is my favorite, but they all 3 look great. I’m embarrassed to say I ran out of time to make something and just bought my toddler a fireman outfit straight off the rack at Target

What great costumes! I wish I had seen these pics Saturday…I would have been running around like a crazy person trying to get my own Amelia Erhart costume ready…oh well, now I have a year to get one together! …would it be too weird if I just wore it in daily life? *insert image of weirdo making soft toys/crocheting in Amelia costume here*

The costumes look great, and Amelia Earhart is awesome, though is it OK for me to be a little disappointed that Roxanne broke her presidential streak?

We considered Teddy Roosevelt, but I was trick to come up with a recognizable costume.
