Froggie

January 6, 2006

Dscn0003_6

I finished the frog last night. It was so weird because I started working on him after the Simpsons, maybe at 8:00 pm or so, and then finished him up in what felt like no time at all, maybe a half hour, but when I looked at the clock it was 9:23 pm. Wow! When I’m working on these little guys everything else fades away – I don’t notice the time, I don’t go to the bathroom, I don’t worry about all the things I’m supposed to be worrying about, I feel like I barely breathe.

Anyway, he’s all done now and like I said yesterday, I feel good about my progress in learning to sew when I make again something I made many months ago and see how much better it looks.

Tomorrow Charlie is taking Roxanne to Tot Time at the rec. center and I’m going thrifting in Waltham. I haven’t been to a thrift store in so so long and I haven’t had any time on my own in a long time either. I’m looking forward to looking at things slowly and making many stops along the way, both things that are impossible with a toddler in tow. Have a great weekend everyone!

Adorable! It is nice to feel ourselves progress and learn isn’t it? 🙂 Have fun thrifting! It’s one of my favorite things to do as well.
