dancing bears

September 18, 2006

I’ve been thinking a bit about asymmetry in toy design. One of the things I like about the tree dolls is their asymmetrical heads. I’d like to play around with making some dolls or toys that are in motion, too.

I did some bear drawings that have a bit of asymmetry and a bit of motion

Sketch

and made these two guys from them

Bears

I’m thinking I could go further, though. More motion. More asymmetry.

Isn’t it wonderful to see the ideas in your head come to life?
Those bears are great! I especially love the faces.

Yeah, these are great! I love your tree dolls and the asymetry thing is really quite unique. Go for it I say – I’m really digging the sketches that pop out of your head too.
