Baby Bok Choy Valentines

February 2, 2006

We had stuffed shells, garlic bread and baby bok choy for dinner. When I was slicing the bok choy and saw their pretty cross sections I was reminded that one of Martha’s Good Things this month is “surprising stamps” in which you make rosette stamps from cut vegetables.

She suggests radicchio, romaine or halved brussel sprouts. I saved two stem ends of the bok choys and took them upstairs after dinner to give it a try.

Here are my stamps

And here are the pieces of stationary drying. A really fun and quick Valentine’s Day project with great results. Kids would love this, too.

Oh my!! That is so cool! And my son would definately think its a better use for vegetables than eating them, especially brussel sprouts.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing – I never would have thought of this. Yours look great too. Did you use stamp ink? It looks a bit thick so I thought it may be paint???
