end of the week

March 5, 2010

Stella was sick yesterday and had been up crying with an aching ear most of the night before, which meant I was so tired yesterday that I could barely get around.  I love sleep and I am no good at all when I don't get enough of it. So we spent the day napping together on the couch.

After a day like that I needed a small project to make, start to finish, in one sitting.  That sort of thing makes me feel better! I made this little bird assemblage and felt nice and calm afterward.

The pattern and directions for this project will be in my book and I hope you'll make one. A little, satisfying burst of creativity.

I have been swapping work with various galleries this month – sending them some new pieces and getting back some older ones. This crab came back to me earlier this week. I love crabs (I'm from Maryland, after all!).

Both of these items are now in my shop.

Edited:  Wow, that was quick. Than you, everyone!

I hope you have a creative, restful weekend!

Hi Abby – Hope Stella is feeling better, and that tonight is a better night. It was so great to catch up last month. Let’s take a walk some time soon!

Hi there.. Hope your daughter is feeling well already. Perhaps you should see a specialist if the ear still aches?
Btw I really love your creations. They seem really cute and I wanna learn how to make one of those.. 🙂
