Like I said, I make things in threes.
I found some lovely little flower buttons for her shoes. I got these in a swap, but I forgot who sent them to me! If it was you, thank you.
Look – they’re at the crazy plush zoo that is building up in my studio!
I submitted the final paperwork and the supplies list for the toy bear class I’m teaching at the end of January. Soon it will be time to make some demo bears, a final pattern, and some handouts. Anyone out there who has taught a soft toy/doll making class have some words of wisdom? I’m assuming things take longer than I expect and that I need lots of clear instructions. Any tips would be much appreciated, though.

Sorry, no tips as for the soft toy making class – just wanted to say I love your blog! The little detail with the flower button and the green fabric is gorgeous. 🙂

Lovely penguins, and gorgeous dolls. Cant wait to see the demo bears too, and your house must look like a toy shop with all those wonderful toys that you make.

It’s Noah’s Ark plus one!

I used to teach sewing (quilts, not toys) and yes, it always takes longer than you think. How much longer depends on the number of students enrolled. If you have more than 5ish it’ll take a loooong time 🙂 Enjoy the class!!

Totally unrelated but in your ‘soft toy makers I admire’ links, Cody Thompson appears to link back to yourself, is this another name you work under….!? Thought I would pass it on, perhaps my computer has an illness.

I love the red head.

Oh my gosh! That little red-headed one looks just like my daughter Allison! I checked your Etsy shop, and she isn’t there…did you make them for something specific, or would you sell her to me??? I’m just thinking it would be great for Christmas.

I’ve taught a lot of sewing classes, and what I’ve found is that if it takes you about 30-60 minutes to make, it should be at least a 3-4 hour class. I know it seems extreme but it’s true.
By the way, these dolls are amazing!
