To cheer me up

March 21, 2006

Dscn0003_15

Thanks to everyone for the nice words yesterday. To lift my spirits a bit I decided to take on a little project just for fun and made this little girl doll. She’s a red head. She’s got one of my favorite buttons in her hair and a bit of my favorite ribbon on her velvet (ewwww!) dress and she’s got text on her tights. She makes me happy, despite the velvet.

And my sister-in-law, Jacquie, received the sweater bears I made for her twin daughters. They quickly named the bears Abby and Charlie and seem to like them quite a bit.

Here is Ellis with Charlie Bear

and Jordan with Abby Bear

Now that really cheers me up.

Ahh… those pictures of your niece & nephew hugging your bears are just priceless, Abby – isn’t that what it’s all about? Love your new girl, too. Take care, xo.

I really love this little girl with her red hair and downcast eyes! The velvet may be yucky to work with but it sure looks good and that’s a favorite ribbon of mine too. I also love the fabric for her legs, very cool! Sweet pictures of your nieces – what a good auntie you are!
