I finished the red owl. One more owl to make in this series. The first set of eyes I made for this guy were rejected because the background was too white making him look like he'd spent too much time in a tanning bed with goggles on. Much better now.
We had a lovely Hanukkah. Both girls were really able to sing the blessings and the Hebrew songs this year and it was really sweet to watch. I spent a morning in each of their Nursery School classrooms helping them celebrate. Here is Stella hard at work on a "stained glass" dreidle.
And I took a picture of our giant snowman last week while he was still standing, although leaning rather precariously.
Later that afternoon his head fell off, and then his middle. Then all the snow melted leaving a scarf, hat and carrot on the lawn. I've always thought it would be cool to go around the neighborhood taking pictures of all the snowmen in various stages of melt, and to do the same in early November of all the jack-o-lanterns in various stages of decay.
Abby, the Chanukah celebrations look fun and I adore this latest owl! He’s wonderful. They just keep getting better!
Lovely owl – I love the red and black print that you have used for the top half. Happy New Year!
