Raccoon

January 19, 2010

I had a great deal of fun with this little guy and he came together on the first try (I love it when that happens).

And have you seen Violette Testacalda's amazing soft sculptures, (check our her raccoon)?  She paints on them so beautifully. Really creative and like nothing I've seen before.

    He’s gorgeous!
LOVE the racoons we get up here in Canada…other than the mess they leave.
    Have a good day.

Well done! He’s fabulous!! Have you ever mae squirrels? I’ve tried making my own pattern for them, but he’s turned out a bit more like a kangaroo, I’m afraid. I’ll post about him tonight.
By the way, I’ve made another lizard from the softies book, but I made him tiny, and this time did the feet properly, so that he’s standing nicely. I’ve made him into an ornament I can hang.

Thank you, Kath. Yes, a bit of a new direction for me. I will always love to make bird, but I am so interested in experimenting with other animals that I have to play a bit. Best,
