Peanut Baby Sew-Along Wrap-Up and Prizes!

July 17, 2014

Even after all these years it still kinda amazes me to how we are all connected so easily with one another now. Host a sew-along and watch as women all over the globe sew from the same pattern, sharing ideas and fabric choices and getting motivated and inspired by one another. It’s pretty magical.

From June 18-July 16 my Facebook group, the While She Naps Softie Designers Forum, hosted the Peanut Baby Sew-Along. We used a free pattern by Rachael Gander for Jo-Ann’s – a totally simple baby doll called the Peanut Baby (it’s got a peanut-like shape).

This pattern became a swimmer, a panda, a butterfly, and a super hero. It had a baby and grew a pocket. It was a Minion, a dragon, and a penguin. It was decorated with fabric markers, embroidered, and appliqued. It grew pigtails and braids.

Here’s my little 40 second video of my Peanut Baby in action:

And take a look at all these wonderful entries:

Congratulations to everyone who entered!
