I finished this unicorn today. I made him for a PTA fundraising auction at Roxanne’s nursery school.
I’m hoping that a unicorn will be appealing to preschool-aged children and their parents.
I’m actually not sure I’ll be able to to attend the event, though, because it is during nap time on the same day as Roxanne’s birthday party.
It was fun to revisit this design. I added footpads this time, which is time-consuming but I like the way it looks and the way it makes her stand. And this toy was a perfect excuse to use four vintage red buttons. Red is my favorite color.

Gorgeous!
Your toys are just amazing! I enjoy seeing each new one that you create! Thank you.
That’s lovely. I don’t know how you keep coming up with new things, but they’re fantastic!
She’s fabulous! Good luck with the show.
Of course they’ll adore it! Tell us how it does!
I’ve always loved your button-hinged pieces. And I love the way the red stands out against the otherwise neutral coloring. Fabulous work!
What a lovely blog! Wonderful animals! Oh, I’m green with envy. My animals aren’t half as individual!
