Come learn with me in October! I’ll be teaching a bunch of workshops and I’d like to invite you to join me, hang out, and talk craft and business together.
Wellesley, Ma Workshops
On Thursday, October 5 from 6-8pm I’ll be teaching a class all about Etsy at the Wellesley Free Library. This class is free to attend (and funded by the Wellesley Free Library Foundation) for residents and non-residents alike. Learn how to optimize your Etsy shop for maximum impact and get marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales. I taught this class last year and we had such a great crowd including two 12-year-old girls looking to go into business together and a mother/daughter pair who drove down from New Hampshire!
The next Thursday, October 12 from 6-8pm I’ll be back at the Wellesley Free Library to teach about how to launch and grow a podcast. This is a brand new workshop and I’m very excited to talk about podcasting and share all that I’ve learned over the past 3+ years of producing a show! Learn what equipment you’ll need, how to develop your show concept, how to edit your show on a budget, and get tips for growing listenership and getting sponsors.
On Thursday, October 19 from 6-8pm I’ll be at the Wellesley Free Library one last time to talk about email marketing for artists and creative people. Learn my method of nurturing a devoted audience for your work through the power of email. I truly think email newsletters should be part of your business strategy and I’ll give you tips and tricks to make it easy (and fun!) to write a newsletter your audience will look forward to reading on a regular basis.

Houston, TX Workshops
I’m excited to have been invited by Jaftex to teach two Schoolhouse sessions at Fall Quilt Market in Houston this year. Each session is just 30 minutes. If you’re at the trade show I’d love the chance to meet you (please note that I will only be there on Friday).
Schoolhouses will be on Friday, October 27. These workshops will be geared towards independent fabric retailers. One of session will be about email marketing. I’ve been collecting newsletters from quilt shops all over the U.S. and I’m excited to share best practices and creative ways to make the most of your email efforts. The second session will be about Instagram. Get a whole lot of ideas you can put to use immediately to gain traction on Instagram and reach a local (and global audience). Sessions are between 10am-6pm and I’ll share the exact times of my sessions once the schedule has been finalized by Quilts, Inc.
I hope to see you there!

Come to Jacksonville, Florida! I realize we don’t know each other but you can start at my home and a brand new hobby lobby is being built.
