New Pattern: Plush Taxidermy (Plus a Relaunch)

March 14, 2014

I’m excited today to release my new plush taxidermy pattern! Come take a look…

Plush Taxidermy Collage
I feel pretty firmly that it’s a good idea to make a unicorn mount to hang over your bed, don’t you? And a deer for the guest room.

Download this pattern now in my shop.

+++++

Rattle with Face

I’m excited to be relaunching my Flower Power Rattle pattern, too. I’ve added instructions for making a face in the center of the flower! The petals have crinkly material inside and there’s a rattle insert in the stem, too.

Rattle With Baby

Flower with baby hand

My friend, Lisa Neighbors, is a photographer. She took a some new photos for me that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks. This is Lisa’s daughter, Rose, who is utterly adorable.

Download the all-new Flower Power Rattle pattern here (and get some rattle inserts to slip inside, too).

++++

While Lisa was here she also took some new photos of me. This is where I am right now, in our front room, typing on my Mac. Hi!

    Great photos! The light in your front room is amazing – very nice casual, in my studio shot. Very cool.

    Jealous of the light in your home, and I love the unicorn! Have you ever posted in this group? https://www.facebook.com/groups/PDFPatternSalesandPromotions/ I think this would go over well in there!

    My sister was big into rainbows and unicorns when she was a little girl. Of course it was the late 70s, early 80s and I think every one loved them at the time too. She would have flipped over having a unicorn above her bed. Good luck with the new pattern.

    I never knew I needed plush taxidermy until now! I was planning on recreating an elephant head I saw at Land of Nod, using cardboard….but maybe I will attempt it in plush instead! Perhaps an elephant head will be your next pattern? 🙂

    Thank you! This room is on the first floor of our house, right next to the front door. We share a family computer. My “studio” is actually just a table in our bedroom upstairs!

    Thanks, Stephanie. I was a member of that group for a little while. I appreciate the suggestion!

    My friend, Lisa, took the unicorn photos in her daughter’s bedroom (her daughter is 4). Apparently when it was time for the unicorn to come down and be returned to me, her daughter was crying! I’m making one just for her 🙂

    Well, I have to make two more plush taxidermy. These will all four be together as a Simplicity pattern envelope next year. Elephant is on my list of potential animals…
