Nesting

March 8, 2006

Dscn0001_18

Now I’m really nesting. Yesterday afternoon Roxanne’s babysitter took her to the playground and the library for an hour and half and I finally finished the two short sides of the bumper! Oh my. I’m so proud. Charlie has now given me official permission to make one soft toy before I am to tackle the long sides.

The nursery is coming together. As you can see from the picture, we got the cushions on the mid-century rocker recovered in black and they are much more comfortable (no “crunchy” foam like the original ones) and the chair looks just lovely. I also made a cozy for the Purell hand sanitizer.

Why? Because I’m crazy. The Purell in Roxanne’s room has a denim cozy, matching her orange and blue decor. I like having the Purell out, it just needs a cozy.

Those have to be the coolest bumbers I’ve ever seen! Love the fabric.
And sometimes I wish everything had a cozy!
    🙂

The baby’s room is coming together so well – everything is so cute and sophisticated at the same time 🙂 I love the idea of a Purell cozy, very creative!

I do the same thing, trying to keep myself on track. If I do this, then I can do that. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work. Your bumpers and cozy are beautiful, I love the starkness of the fabric.

LOVE the Purell cozy. That is something I would make while my hubby rolls his eyes at me. =) Love your fabric choice.

That Purell cozy is so great! How clever. You are making a great nursery for your 2nd, my poor son barely got a bed, we were so busy with the 1st (or at least I thought I was).

That fabric is great and how clever (and very Martha!) to recover the dispenser.
