Like me, this little yellow bird is looking up at the bright June sunshine and is feeling very well this morning.
I finally cut into a linen Vera napkin I bought at a vintage store in Atlanta last year. It is so springy and bright and was in perfect condition. I have a bit left for more wings on another bird yet to be made.
Have you checked out Spoonful?
It's a new really sweet crafty zine. For their second issue they did a little spread on rams and included an image of my felt ram.
For only $7, I think it is a real steal to have something lovely and tangible to read and look while you, say, sit outside and watch the kids run through the sprinkler. That's my plan. Get yourself a copy here.

I have suddenly decided that, after looking at this little yellow bird, my daughter and I need a robin red-breast to go with our planned illustrations for our copy of The Secret Garden. Your bird says spring in the same way Frances Hodgeson Burnett describes it.
Hi Abby – your work is so very lovely! I found you through Margie Oomen and then through Maribeth’s blog. I’m so inspired by your work and am going to add you to my list of muses.
Hooray! I hope you have a magical day!
Keep Smiling,
Abby Emerson
I should be as peacefully happy as this little bird. Thanks for the Spoonful recommendation. I have not seen this before, and it looks up my alley.
Vera works and you have more. What
attitude, the yellow bird. And zines I
only discovered and made this year
…heard more on a podcast thanks to
you. Good lead. Thanx.
