Kangaroo for Lisa

April 10, 2006

Dscn0008_14

Well, I’m still pregnant. 38 weeks 3 days. I figured I might as well get on with it and start some projects that I might not be able to finish because hey, I might just be pregnant forever! This weekend I spent some time on this fuzzy white kangaroo and joey for Lisa. I had a lot of fun making it and thinking about her and her incredible creativity and spirit.

Here is a picture of the joey.

I received the most lovely package over the weekend, too, from Amanda, someone who has become one of my dear friends, even if we’ve never met. She sent a beautiful basket she made, some crocheted flowers, some goodies for Roxy, and, best of all, two hand-knit hats – one for Roxanne and a matching one for the new baby (assuming she’ll emerge eventually which frankly I’m starting to doubt).

A totally unexpected and wonderful package and the first present we’ve gotten for the new baby. Thank you.

Awwww you’ll be unpregnant before you know it!! I KNOW how absolutely miserable those last couple of weeks are- heck I’m already miserable and I still have nine more to go. But jsut remember, it all ends in a flash. The kangaroo is ADORABLE.
