New Ebook: How to Create a Powerful Email Newsletter

How to Create a Powerful Email Newsletter

Email is powerful.

We all check our email first thing in the morning and then multiple times throughout the day. Email is personal and direct. It’s the best marketing tool of all.

No matter how big (or small) your creative business may be, you should be building an email list. People who sign up for your list will become your #1 fans and most loyal supporters.

And yet so many creative people aren’t using email they way they could.

For most creative small business owners it’s not a question of how, it’s a question of what.

What should you send?

I know that was the biggest question I had when I began my email newsletter.

For years I had heard that building a mailing list for my sewing pattern business was important. I was resistant, though. I worried that my emails would annoy my subscribers. I worried that I’d have nothing to say in a newsletter.

I did a tremendous amount of research and experimentation until I truly understood what made email newsletters so powerful.

And then I finally got serious about creating an email newsletter. I can tell you first hand that it’s truly transformed my business. It’s increased blog traffic and comments, seriously boosted sales, and deepened my relationships with my customers.

Now I’m offering you an ebook that shows you how to create a powerful email newsletter that will transform your creative business, too.

*Note that this ebook is not a step-by-step instructional guide for using email software. The software companies have their own tutorials and help desks that you can turn to for the nuts and bolts of creating your template and setting up a list.

This ebook is about the content of your newsletter. The “what” and the “why.” That’s the hard part!

You’ll…

  • Identify the goal of your newsletter
  • Determine the best type of content to meet your goal
  • Figure out how frequently to sent your newsletter
  • Build your list with a whole variety of expert tactics
  • Brand your newsletter
  • Optimize your newsletter to build community and bring in sales
  • Figure out strategies that will make it fun and easy to put each issue of your newsletter together

This ebook is an instant download PDF. You can read it on your computer or mobile device. You can also print it out if you’d like and read it as a hard copy.

Make this the year that you start using email to your best advantage.

How to Create a Powerful Email Newsletter: A Comprehensive Guide for Creatives is in my shop now.

Congrats Abby! I finally started one after one of your posts back in October about newsletters. I can’t believe how many more people, and how quickly, have signed up for that then were subscribing for email updates to my blog. I was nervous to switch from a weekly post format to a weekly newsletter email but I am so glad I did.

I remember when you first started yours and I was a little nervous because I knew you’d read my post and decided to go for it. I’m so so happy that it’s working! Truly I think email is the way to go. Yay!

I just found your site and have questions on this book.
Does this book give help on the layout of an email. Like placing pictures beside the writing? Can you use it on any email setup such as outlook, hotmail and/or msn?
    Thank you!
    Dianne

Hi Diane, I use and recommend special software for managing an email newsletter. I use Mailchimp. Within Mailchimp it’s very easy to make pretty emails with pictures and text. I hope that helps!

Great! I will try the email newsletter as well. I am sure with pictures it will be better appreciated
