Halloween Cuties – New Pattern on Sale Now

October 10, 2014

Halloween Cuties Collage

My sister, Rachel, and I always send each other something for Halloween. It started when I left for college. She’s six years younger than me and I missed being at home to help her along as she went through junior high and high school. She was the last of us kids at home and I worried that it was lonely for her. So Halloween of freshman year, when I all the merchandise popped up at the bookstore on campus, I bought her a silly Halloween card and put it in the mail.

That was in 1993. We are 39 and 33 years old now, and both of us are moms, but we’re still at it. Halloween is just so fun! It’s kinda hard to resist.

And now that it’s right around the corner again I think a cute and cuddly softie (or three) is in order. My new Halloween Cuties pattern includes three designs: Candace the Candy Corn, Gil the Ghost, and Jack the Pumpkin. All three of these projects are very fast and easy, perfect for beginners or to sew along with children.

For each one you’ll need a 1/4 yard of fleece, plus some scraps for the details, a pair of 8mm safety eyes, embroidery floss, coordinating all-purpose thread, and some stuffing.

Fun to sew, great to hug, and way better than a cheesy card from the store. Grab the pattern for $2 off and get sewing!

What a fun collection of stuffed friends. The ghost is especially cute!
