She had a great time marching in the parade this morning as our first president. She was in heaven. (You may remember Roxanne as Lincoln last year in Kindergarten).

This costume started with an incredible knit hat that is warm enough towear all winter. We embellished a thrifted suede vest with some wool felt and gold trim epaulets, gold braid, and shiny buttons.  A few layers of lace made the ruff to go over a thrifted button down shirt.

A thumbs up all around.

She’s adorable! Great job. I love that she wanted to be another President. Maybe in her future?

Oh lord, I love both of these costumes so much! This really made me laugh out loud. I can’t wait to see her choice for next year!

Mimi- I was laughing when I saw your kids' costumes because there was a definite similarity between Bee's costume and Roxanne's (epaulets!) and Otis' and Stella's (both brown animals!). So funny. Next year, maybe Teddy Roosevelt.

So FABULOUS…and I might have missed it. Right on Roxanne! as well as to the knitter of the wig.
