Elephant Sale!

October 9, 2006

All nine of the elephants are now on sale in my shop. Each elephant is totally unique and many incorporate vintage and Japanese imported fabrics and vintage buttons. Here is the herd all together

I sewed each elephant his own tag from white canvas printed with the elephant’s name and number sewn to wool felt and attached with jute cord around a brown metal grommet.

Each elephant was a joy to make. This is a limited edition, though. I am gearing up for upcoming shows so I am moving on now to other projects. Thanks, everyone, for all your interest in the elephants. Enjoy!

great, great, great tags! i love that you’ve elevated the elephants to true art by giving them titles rather than names – they’re gorgeous.

I didn’t know you had an etsy shop, you’ve done pretty well. I’ve been on there for a month and am having fun. (added you to my favorites)

They are lovely, I think they are just the best when all together and the tags give a lovely homespun BUT professional finish
