elephant #8 – happy days

October 7, 2006

Elephant #8 used the last of my treasured vintage teapot tea towel. So glad it went to a good use. And he is sporting a lovely #8 on his tush.

Charlie and I went to a Lebanese food festival last night and they had a little rummage sale. I found this great doll rocking chair for $2.

I’m thinking Goldilocks will sit there (once she’s made, of course) for my solo show in March. For now, the less cowardly lion is finding it quite comfortable.

We spent the morning decorating the sukkah in preparation for our sukkah party tomorrow. Lots of cooking to be done this afternoon during nap time. After naps, though, we are all heading over to Magpie in Davis Square to drop off 9 of my toys. If you live in the Boston area, stop into Magpie and get yourself some lovely handmade goods from all kinds of great Indie crafters.

And some good news – my class proposal has been approved. I will be teaching “Not Your Ordinary Bear: Make an Adorable Soft Toy from Recycled Wool” at the Wellesley Recreation Center after the new year. I can’t wait to start teaching again.

Oh I love the elephants so much. I would love to take that class, it sounds like such fun. Your house must be a magical place to a kid, with all those adorable stuffies around.
Oh, by the way, the pumpkin banana mousse tart…its gone. A winner : )

Wow so many elephants! That is some great fabric you’ve used, and the doll chair is a wonderful find too!
