I made a little elephant from the same pattern as my cherry elephants (see Crafty Goodness photo album at left). She is made from that same thrifted and felted scarf that I’ve been working with, although sadly it is all used up now. Her ears are wool felt with blanket stitching in pink and brown floss. She is wearing a bow of vintage ribbon with a flowery pattern on her ear (I almost wrote “in her hair”). Most importantly, she is sporting one of my new labels! Yep, they’re in. I now have woven labels of my very own. Sorry the picture is a little blurry, they are sort of hard to photograph.
What I really like about her is she’s so squishy and cuddly. I’m think I’m going to take a little nap while she (that is, Roxy) naps today.
I love the elephant! Especially the jaunty bow by her ear! Would you mind posting where you got your labels? I’ve recently decided I should get some too, but I don’t know where to start looking. Thanks!
