I’ve been blogging here at While She Naps for over seven years. I started out posting about all kinds of random stuff that I would do while my baby napped. I was decorating cakes, making origami greeting cards, gardening, and sewing toys. You can read my second post ever right here (I’m so embarassed that you just read that. Oh my gosh. Don’t look, I’m hiding.)
Since 2005 I’ve had two more kids, launched a new career, written two books, and made a whole lot of softies. And my blog has narrowed in focus, evolved and changed tremendously since then, but at it’s essence it is still exactly the same. How is that possible? Come hear for yourself. I’ll be participating in a live video chat about craft blogging today at 1:00 pm Eastern. That chat is hosted by Sister Diane and Tara Swiger and includes two other special guests: Stacey Trock of Fresh Stitches and Allyson Dykhuizen of The Sweatshop of Love.
If you’re curious about developing a blog, attracting readers, or creating content, come on in and watch the chat. You can even Tweet in your questions using the hashtag #effectiveblog. See you there!
🙂 SO fun to see you and hear you!
Participating in a video chat was new to me. It really was a cool experience! The future is now and it's pretty neato.
completly unrelated…just for fun i checked to see if you posted the day i had me daughter..turns out you did roughly ten minutes after i had her 🙂 i taught myself to sew and crochet during her pregnancy so that was a bit of a treat for me 🙂
