Another Sweater Bear

March 15, 2006

Dscn0006_14

This sweater bear is up in the shop now and hopefully I’ll be able to make a few more soon (I was told last night that I’m supposed to begin sewing the long sides of that darn bumper this week. Ugh).

What is up with Roxanne’s short naps this week? It’s killing me! Yesterday I think she maybe slept for 45 minutes and now I’m sitting here listening to her chit chat in her crib after an hour and 15 min. And I had planned to make two lasagnas and this bear during nap time today.

I am having the same problem with naps. One day normal, the next nothing, the next just mini car naps. It’s ruining my routine! 😉
btw – I think your bears are so cute!

Another adorable bear! Someone beat me to it though. I’ll wait for the next one. Hope Roxanne’s naps get back on track soon. There are some days my almost 3-year-old sleeps only an hour, but thankfully those days are rare. Naptimes are precious crafting times!

I’m with you with the unpredictable napping, it’s quite inconvenient for good crafting! ;D I love this bear, too, it looks very cuddly!

This is pretty unrelated, but have you ever thought about getting a syndicated-feed at live-journal? I don’t know much about them (or if that is the correct name), but I think you could set one up so that your posts here would show up on LJ as well.
I love reading your journal & would love to friend you so I make sure I don’t miss any entries. I’m sure the other craftgrrls would too. ~pmthreads 😉

The bestest bear ever! What an absolute cutey. I can understadn why there are so many disappointed to miss out on snapping it up. We use a star chart with various rewards (scooter rides after dinner, little packets of stickers, wearing her favourite shoes) to keep our daughter sleeping through her afternoons. She’s 3 and a half and still going most days.

she just turned 2 right? Jack turned 2 in October and we went through a whole spell where he wasn’t taking naps at all. It was HORRIBLE! I still insisted on quiet time every day….but it just wasn’t the same. Now, at almost 2.5, he takes a nap like clockwork…. and with no fighting… He just say’s “ok Mommy”. It’s incredible. I share this not to boast, but to say that they go through weird seasons and cycles. She’ll get back to her long naps. She HAS to… yo need to craft!
ps… I’ve never made a plush softie… but you’re inspiring me to go out and ‘get me some’ polyfil!

Happy 2nd birthday to Roxy! I feel like it was just yesterday you were telling me her birth story and she was 1 week old. Love the little bears and your Purell cozy from a few days before. And the hamantashen look delicious–you are such a good mom!
p.s. Susan says hi too, Carly and I are visiting in MD. this week and she’s stopped sleeping through the night, so I feel your pain.

What a cute bear, I love the striped arms and legs. Is the sweater that you used felted first?
Two lasagna’s? I dirty up every pot and pan in the house making one, and it takes me all afternoon!

Your bear is to die for.
I know what you mean with the naps. Dan is nearing 2 and it’s been interesting at nap times. Today he crawled under his cot while I tried to persuade him to come out so I could put his PJ bottoms on!
Precious times when they nap. As soon as I shut the bedroom door, I’m down to business!
    take care
