I couldn’t resist this fuzzy purple fur marked down 50% at Joann’s. The owl fabric came from a swap months ago with Katey at One Good Bumblebee.
Here is a view from above of our weekend project – our first sukkah is now standing! After much cursing, some help from a friend, and a new drill bit, Charlie and I finally put the finishing touches on our temporary hut for the holiday of Sukkot. We have always dreamed of having a place to put up our own sukkah and now it is actually up. Now we need to get busy decorating.
And finally, a picture of my budding artist. She just loves crayons and always demands that I draw her a moon and a bus and, lately, a witch hat.
love the purple fuzz and love the sukkah. when i think of sukkahs i always picture thos fake rubber grapes my childhood temple used or the paper rings we made in hebrew school. 🙂
aww the fuzzy bear is soo sweet!
Love the fuzzy bear and the serious artist!
Purple bear is wonderful! Purple personality 🙂
i love your sukkah. yearly the 3rd grade class at my daughters school builds a sukkah in the schoolyard. they decorate it with berries and strung popcorn, flowers, gourds, shells and stones. i love this tradition and the hard work you have put into it. i can’t wait to see how you decorate it.
oh –and the purple bear is to die for.
Precious bear and precious artist. Love her curls! We read a book about Sukkot last year called A home for Hillal (I believe that was the name) and my boys were quite taken with the tradition and history of the Sukkah.
congratulations on getting the sukkah up — it looks great. and your budding artist is adorably serious about her work! the purple bear — wonderful. hope you’re feeling good!
