I'm very excited to invite you to join me for a one-day workshop in October. I'll be teaching soft toy design at Gather Here, the wonderful fabric and yarn store in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The class will be on Sunday afternoon, October 20, from 12-4 pm.
In this class I'll take you through the pattern drafting process from the very beginning to the very end! We'll start with some simple sketching, create pattern templates, sew and edit a prototype, and then make a toy. You'll leave with an original pattern and a finished softie! This class is a great companion to my book, Stuffed Animals.
Some machine sewing skills required, but I promise you don't need to be a great artist to make an awesome softie!

Hi Abby, I love all of your designs and softies and follow your newsletter. I have sewn several of your designs and have completed two puzzle ball animals with the aid of your tutorial.
