two accomplishments

September 1, 2010

Today is Roxanne's first day of First Grade!  New shoes, new dress, hair trimmed and ready to go.

And I am off to the post office to overnight the author's proof of The Artful Bird back to Interweave. It arrived on Saturday, which gave me four days to edit a 160 page manuscript.  I'm so glad it is done!  It looks amazing. I can't wait until you can see it, too!

Oh, the purple shoes! Oh, the artful bird! I love them both!

I don’t know if it is something you could tweak, but I had trouble reading the title. I saw it as “The Art Sulbird” and it took me a bit to realize what I was reading. I think moving the U up would help, and maybe thickening the line on the F a smidge.
    And congratulations to Roxanne!

Thank you, Tiffany, for the honest feedback. I'm not sure what can be done, but I will forward your comment on to my editor. Thanks!

Well your first accomplishment is beautiful of course and worthy of all sorts of excitement (esp. those great shoes). The second one will eventually (I hope) get to Australian shores and i can’t wait !
