snails and a bluebird

June 16, 2010

I'm nearly back to my old crafting self, at least during the daytime.  Evening is still spent on the couch, but I am appreciating my good daytime hours so much.

It's Camp Mommy next week before day camp begins. We've got lots of plans including swimming at Morses Pond down the street, tie dyeing, finishing our chicken journals, and visiting Natick Organic Farm.

Today I made this soft mollusk for a seashell.

I'm planning a big summer shop update in a few weeks and this guy will be included.

I finished the last few pieces for my show at Art Star including this bluebird, who cooperated so nicely and let me perch her on a mushroom in the yard.

And, two more snails for a total of three.  Each one has a magnet inside it's navy blue body. The magnet aids in weight and balance, but also makes them magnetic, of course.

Roxanne has one  more day of Kindergarten.  Her writing is just amazing, and hysterical.  I went to the store Sunday morning with an addendum to my list.

List

That would be chocolate chip muffins, popsicles, ice cream, pinwheels (which was already on there), marshmallows, apple cinnamon muffins, whipped cream !, and one item I just couldn't decipher. Needless to say, we are stocked up on sugary treats.

The last item seems to be some sort of berries!Roxanne is so smart! Congratulations on being ready for your show and having birds of such good behavior. Where is Art Star. I must review.

What a beautiful blue bird! I also had a giggle at the shopping list. Too cute!

I think the last item is
    ‘some strawberries’
    : )

I like your new pieces. The bird is lovely. I, too, think that the last item on that list is strawberries! At least it’s not all processed sweets (my daughter would certainly love to feast with your daughter – sugar, sugar, sugar!).

I’m going to guess that the last item is some kind of bars.

Have you ever played Mad Gab? This list reminds me of it, except this is much cuter.
