Owl #3 and Droopy Kitty

June 13, 2005

Dscn1012

We were away this weekend in New London visiting my in-laws and Roxy’s twin cousins. Before we left, I made this droopy kitty that looks like a lilac tortoiseshell cat, seen here posing with the peach cobbler I brought down to CT.

I think that’s about enough droopy pets for me.

Roxy had a great time in the baby pool on Saturday afternoon. First of all, isn’t this such a mod pool? My mother-in-law got it for $4 at Target. Here is the little person posing with a fish on her head.

Also before we left, my package from Bertha arrived. She sent me the following crafty goodies as part of our trim swap.

I loved everything she sent. It is always a good sign when the materials get cut up and put to use right away. Droopy kitty is made from some wool felt she sent.

And, I finally got around to making a new owl. His body and ribbon are made from materials Bertha sent and his face and the underside of his wings and feet, plus the little sodalite beads he has for eyes, are made from materials that Amanda sent. I like this new owl. I like making owls in general. First of all, this owl is an entirely original pattern that I made up. And, I think he sort of looks like me. Anyway, he is for sale. If you want him, let me know.
