Building on the success of my first Lovey Dovey pattern, I've designed a 2nd edition! There were so many cute animals to choose from it was hard to decide. This series began with the owl and then grew from there with a penguin, a pig, and finally an elephant.
You could easily turn the penguin into a chick by making it up in yellow fleece and adding a little tuft of yarn at the top of the head.
I had to sneak into the baby's room during her nap this morning to get this shot.
I nearly woke her up, but it was worth it for the cuteness.
This pig's ears are lined with the prettiest scrap of vintage quilting cotton I found at the dump last year (Yes, I washed it before I sewed a baby toy with it! Seriously, who do you think I am.)
The pattern for this 2nd edition of Lovey Dovies is now in my shop on Etsy and in my pattern store on Craftsy.
Those are super cute. I definitely have a thing for birds (and especially penguins). I’ll have to add it to my list!
Thank you! So nice to hear from you, Seanna Lea! I hope your rice ball plush is having a great afternoon (and you, too!).
I’m still laughing at the pig ear fabric. And the ears just make that pig!
That picture with your sleeping babe is adorable! I know what you mean on deciding which animals. You want them to be the right ones! Universally attractive and peaceful enough for sweet slumber. I think you picked some really good ones 🙂
I hope you will take it the right way when I say I’m afraid you may have sold your soul to the devil. WHERE are getting all this time?! 🙂
Verrrrrrry cute – Hey Abby,I love the idea of the ‘found fabric’ for piggy’s ears – the baby will never know! : )
