Happy Halloween from a T-Rex, a mad scientist, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
We get hundreds of trick-or-treaters so we have to load up on candy. And I’ll be wearing a chicken mask when I greet them all. Should be a fun night!

On a totally different subject, this week I’ve gotten several really wonderful emails from people who read my newsletter. I thought I’d share a few of their comments with you:
As always, your newsletter has me clicking around the internet and your blog learning something new or delighting at something I have not yet discovered. Thanks! Best, -Daniela D.
Apropos of nothing in particular, I’d just like to thank you for your blog and newsletter. I don’t sew – I’m a knitter, an aspiring designer, and I don’t even remember exactly how I stumbled on your blog (but I think it had something to do with your wonderfully frank income reports). I have no idea why I signed up for your newsletter, since I’m generally NOT a fan of newsletters. But I always read yours. There are so many craft blogs out there. As someone recently tweeted, there seem to be a lot more crafters making money from telling me how to make money from my craft than there are crafters making money from craft. (Or something to that effect, only more pithy!) But yours, I pay attention to. I am deeply thankful for your generosity, your smarts and your great writing. Best wishes, -Robynn W.
Hi! I just started following you/receiving your newsletter and I am hooked already! Right up my alley. Love your work. Love the links you provide. Look forward to the journey! -Christine M.
If you’re curious about my newsletter and would like to just take a quick look to see if it might be something you’d enjoy, here’s a link to Wednesday’s issue. I work really hard to make it interesting, but if you sign up and don’t like it, you can unsubscribe. No hard feelings, I promise.

Greetings from Durham in the North-East of England. I have just (September 1 2014) become a self-employed Textiles designer/maker, blogger and Etsy shop owner, so it is very exciting to find someone else who is doing the same kind of thing, but is further down the road than me. Thank you for sharing on your blog, I am really enjoying reading it and have just started to subscribe. Love from Amanda Jane
