Fuzzy Green Owl

January 16, 2006

Dscn0006_9

I made Sidney a little girlfriend. She is made of a very soft, fuzzy and nubbly olive material with white and dark fleks in it. She cheered me up on Saturday when, for various reasons, I was having a bad blog moment – feeling like maybe this thing is making me and my family too exposed to the world, maybe I should delete it all. Having a public diary, even just one about crafty stuff and mom stuff like this, is scary sometimes and it tends to hit me all of a sudden. Charlie gave me an excellent comforting talk and several big hugs and I’m still here, but a bit shakey feeling.

I’m sorry you feel a bit down about the exposure of blogging. It does have it’s ups and downs. I can see how the owl cheered you up though, she’s super cute! 🙂

That’s a great fabric choice for the owl! Max was looking at this picture and insisting I tell him what the white and green bits were. Um, feathers?
As for the exposure of blogging, yes, I feel it too. There are some people I’ve come to know (like you) but so many others who just stop by for a second. Which is fine. I guess I’m not sure what I’m worried about, but being so public tends to worry me. I’m glad that Charlie and owlie could help you to feel at least a little better.

I know the feeling. I think about quiting too, but hey, then I just can’t help my self. What would I do with all the pictures I take and all the things I wanna share if not… post? Hope you will keep it up, and maybe, keep an offline journal too? THat’s what I do. 🙂

    Lovely owl!
Sorry you’ve been feeling off about blogging. I’ve only just started blogging but I can understand the nervousness. It is weird and a little scary when you think about it, but I also think it has so many things to offer.
I’m glad you’ve decided to keep going though. And I hope you don’t mind me stopping by.

What a sweetie! I bet Sidney’s heart is all a flutter 😀 Great fabric choice – I was going to try making some owls out of fabric too.

Fuzzy green owl love! And I also feel the same way about blogging sometimes too. I think you should just do and share whatever you feel comfortable with.

How incredibly cute! I love the fabric, what exactly is that fabric? I hear you on the blogging, I’m constantly questioning how much I should write about. My husband is the most private person in the world, so its always on his mind.

Of late I have felt very much the same and have wanted to put some space between me and my blogging life… I am still not sure where I am with it but for the moment I will resist doing nothing…
I have enjoyed reading your blog and looking at all the things you create – they have offered me some inspiration to create too…
I love the owl too – she is just so cute…
Whatever you decide be happy… Take care now…
