Thank you so much for the pattern. I have a cardigan of my nieces that has some pretty embroidery on but no longer fits so I am going to make a bear for her using your pattern. If it works out well I can see many more well loved clothes turning into teds.

What a wonderful idea! How about a “goodnight” bear out of some well loved pj’s? Or if you have an embroidery machine, a child’s name on the belly? Oh, so many ideas and so many children to love them!

Sewwwwww cute! Just need to clarify your request that the pattern is “for personal use only.” Clearly, the pattern could not be sold, but does it also mean that objects made from the pattern could also not be sold?

Hi thanks for the pattern! Would you recommend a 100% wool felt for this project or any other felt?
You can use any sort of felt or soft fabric for Pete the Bear. I used a piece of wool here. You can use a felted wool sweater, fleece, flannel, wool-felt, or whatever you might have on hand.

OMG What a cutie-patootie! I’ve downloaded this pattern so my stuffie-crazy girls (8 in ringette camp and 5 in swim camp) can work on this after summer camps have ended next month. Perhaps make a few for their friends for the dreaded back-to-school.

Something happened to my post so it told me to repost? I Can’t bear it! I suggested a bear out of some loved pj’s and embroidery a child’s name on the bear’s belly. When I try these I will post a pix. I will see my granddaughter this week and try to get some out grown pj’s!
I have a stack of my husband’s dress coats he had to wear at work to give to GoodWill but there is one wool one I tnink I will reclaim to make bears! The weave is very attractive and I have always loved it. There is enough fabric there for several bears. Think I will make one for each grandchild.
