For several years I have admired the beautiful work of Apol Lejano, a French designer and mom who blogs at La Pomme. Her work combines vintage materials with a modern edge and is a pleasure to look at. Plus, she likes birds, so we have an immediate affinity.
Apol and I have become blog friends and I wanted to show you her new fall collection which I think is really magical.
Well-known for her beautiful plush fruit, Apol has created a whole coordinating collection sewn from vintage ticking. Many of the pieces are scented with warm spices like lavender, cloves and anise.
She has sewn up sets of mini and full-sized apples
and pears
and sachets
and stamped them with words that inspire warm feelings, perfect for the holidays. Plush flowers and sailboats made from the same ticking are coming at the end of this month.
Apol can also custom make one of these pieces to suit your theme.
You can see her full collection at her Etsy shop, where she also sells a handpicked variety of vintage home decor items that have the same aesthetic.
Each piece comes wrapped in a stamped fabric bag for a pretty presentation.
And…Apol of La Pomme has offered to give away two sets of her mini apple ornaments here! Aren't they lovely?
I think these would make such a sweet, handmade holiday gift. If you'd like to enter, leave a comment on this post before Friday at noon. I will draw two names at random to select the winner.
Thank you, Apol!

How gentle these items are – and cloves and anise are such companionable scents. Thank you for letting us know about these.
Love her friendly and beautiful work !
I love her work, it’s so natural and uncluttered… I like simplicity in decoration ^^
I don’t know if I’m still on time for the contest.
But I love La Pomme. Lovely article about an amazing artist 🙂
