Felt Bird Ornaments Are Addictive!

August 21, 2011

Three birds
I had to make some more.

Short string of birds
In lots of colors.

Long string of birds
So much fun, and a little addictive.

White and red birds
These will be at Art Star in Philadelphia beginning in October as part of their yearly collection and sale of handmade ornaments by indie crafters.  If you’d like to make a bird, too, my tutorial and pattern are free right here.

I just bought your book”The Artful Bird.” I have been making teddy bears for about 30 years and have also made a few dolls and assorted critters along the way. I would be honored if you would check out my teddies. I love your beautiful birds.

I agree with the bird bunting comment. They ARE adorable. I wish my sweet MIL was still alive because she would get a big kick out of these.

I’ve just been given your book & spent most of yesterday making a crow – what a cool pattern! Wish I had the time to make a flock of them!

I'm so glad you are making the crow! I loved designing that bird. Happy birdmaking, Caroline!

I love your teddy bears, Janne! I hope you'll enjoy making fabric birds. I sent you an email about possibly testing a teddy bear pattern for my next book. Did you receive it?
