Kangaroo

August 20, 2005

Dscn0016_1

I finished the kangaroo from the Mabs Tyler book. She is made of wool felt and sewn on the machine.
I made her a little garland of felted beads with seed beads on them, inspired by the garland here.

Her joey is also wool felt and is hand sewn with embroidered details. He can either be tucked into the pocket or taken out and played with.

wow! I have the same book as you {found in a second hand book shop} and I am using the donkey pattern for my MOS contribution but am finding it difficult. You have done such a good job!It looks better than the one in the book, dare I say. They look great.I like the garland too.

Oh, that is so sweet. I used to live out west and there were lots and lots of roos – I loved it when I saw one with a joey in the pouch, so cute!

I know everyone else has already said this but I just had to chime in and say it too. That kangaroo is ADORABLE! I just love her little pouch and her baby with its sleepy eyes. So cute!
