Here is my second little bunny. His body is made from a 100% wool scarf (originally from J Crew, but I found it this weekend for $2 at a thrift store) that I felted in the washing machine. It is so soft and fuzzy now! His (or is it a her? hard to say) features and tunic are made from wool felt, as usual. I bought a plaid scarf, too, so there is at least one more bunny in the works. I had never felted anything before this project – it always seemed pretty intimidating – but just running wool through the washing machine makes it shrink up and take on such a cuddly texture, I think this is my new favorite fabric. Plus, it is pretty easy to get ahold of wool scarves in thrift stores in Boston.

Is is possible that you will consider selling your items at some point? I’d really love to buy an owl or one of these bunnies…
