This sheep was a long, slow and painful little project. This is the third version. The first had a tiny head and wool loops made from two different yarns. The second had a too round head that I accidentally sewed in white. I'm happy with this third version although I stabbed myself with the darning needle multiple times yesterday while sewing all those wool loops and went to nursery school with my fingers wrapped in band-aids. Baa.

Very cute!
Have you tried using a circular needle for sewing on the loops? It looks like an upholstery needle but isn’t as thick. I’ve used it when sewing on doll hair and it’s so much easier to use than a regular straight needle at that point.

Thank you for the tip, Tami! I have a circular needle and I'll give it a try.

Aww—sweetness! We’ve still got one of your wee lambs for babies tucked away somewhere—must be almost four years ago now.

So adorable. I love the roman-nosed sheep breeds, and this reminds me of them very much!

Thank you, Dorie. I like those sheep, too, and looked a photos of them while I was designing this pattern.
