Last week we hung up two beautiful mid-century shelves we found on Craigslist. Finally a place to display things. On the lower one I put my lion, some vintage spools, a little vase with some bare branches, vintage wooden alphabet stamps, a bird, and a collage Lisa Solomon gave me in a swap a…

three sheeps later
This sheep was a long, slow and painful little project. This is the third version. The first had a tiny head and wool loops made from two different yarns. The second had a too round head that I accidentally sewed in white. I'm happy with this third version although I stabbed myself with the…
Humpty Dumpty in the shop

Valentine’s Day Collection
A little collection of handmade birds, and perhaps a few other things, will be coming to my shop next Thursday, January 14. I love the color red and I am having a lot of fun coming up with little, lovely red things to sew.
a little goat
I shrunk my goat pattern to 60% and made it up in black and gold quilting cottons left over from my summer bumblebee.
sitting
I'm playing with different ways to construct a seated animal toy. I tried a dog with attached limbs. He is made from wool felt.
