A red head. The last of the dolls for right now.
We are in temper tantrum hell around here. Seemingly prompted by absolutely nothing, just existing, Roxanne can launch herself into a heck of a tantrum. A tantrum that lasts a good 50 minutes in which she is out of control in every way. She will cry and cry and cry. Make absurd demands – like that she is hungry while sitting in front of a plate of food, or that she is tired after having just woken up in the morning from 11 hours of sleep, or asking for “new underwear” when the ones that she has on aren’t wet or dirty in any way. I am a very patient person and it is starting to wear on me. She is two years and seven months. This must be why it’s called the terrible twos, huh.

ooo that sounds familiar! in france they say the threes are the hardest and i think each child has his/her “challenge” time. my almost two year old does a similar tantrum every so often! as she is the third she gets ignored and usually comes around all by herself…i just can’t give her the focus i gave the first one and it seems to work out fine that way…good luck with that and it does just go away eventually.

ah, i hear ya.
darwin is two and three months, and has taken it upon himself to spit and bite. and when he wants to throw a hissy fit, he carefully lays himself down and then goes crazy.

I am with the French. My hubby and I both think 3 is worse than 2. Poor baby just doesn’t know what she wants!
My youngest is 3 years 6 months and I’m hoping we about done with this stage!

I’m feeling your pain here as well. Elliot’s seems to be coinciding with a slight illness, but we’re going slightly crazy around here with all of this unreasonable behavior. (He’s 2 years 10 months.)

I HEAR YA! LOUD & CLEAR! My little one is 2 years and 6 months and is doing the same. You know what has helped is Hyland’s Calms Forte for Kids. I give her a few of them (homeopathic and no side effects) and it REALLY works.

Welcome to the terrible twos. Yikes huh? I’m hoping the French are wrong, my little guy turns 3 in November.
Amanda says
Good luck, I know how incredibly annoying and trying temper tantrums can be.

Gorgeous doll!
My eldest is 2yrs 9mths and she started throwing tantrums around 2 and 1/2. Best advice I’ve received is not to make a big deal about it and let her quiet herself down (however long it takes) – hard to do in public though!

Ooh I dont know about the terrible 2’s, I would have to agree with the terrible 3’s I think. My daughter is 5 and she still has silly tantrums, some of which I can relate to in your post as well, such as food and if she has to walk for too long her legs hurt and she becomes all moody and sulky, and yes your nerves are frazzled at the end of it. Good luck.

OMG!!!! Our daughter went thru this when she was 3-4 and we still see a few now and then and she just turned 5. Crazy, crazy anger that comes from nowhere and makes absolutely now sense at all. I am not a paient person but am learning to be each and everyday for the last 5 years now. It’s wacko when the tantrums happen. We just take lots of deep breaths and wait them out. It can really mess up your schedule sometimes but that’s life. Good-luck. xoxo

Welcome to my world!!! I found that the best answer is to just walk away…no need in fighting with a 3 yo (in my case)…We had a tantrum at the library recently, where he was carried outside and deposited on the ground to finish…when he realized I wasn’t playing..he stood up and calmly asked for a juice… at home…if it is really bad…he goes to his room, but they usually end b4 that..good luck..and remember BREATHE!!!

Ugh, Mia is into the temper tantrum stage right now. She won’t eat dinner, makes silly demands, does that ridiculous put on cry and can be really nasty to her sister and us. I’ve started to ignore her when she does it, i’m hoping that this will work.

I love the red and blue fabric. Reminds me of my Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls my mom made for me in the 70s!

The timing of your post is so interesting. I literally just had a conversation with my friend about how irritable and fussy Mia has been lately. It is really starting to get to me. I feel for you. Hang in there! (I’ll do the same:)
I love the doll!

I’m not alone!
I know exactly what you mean. My daughter is 2 yrs 5 months old and we’re going through the very same tantrums.
Good luck!
