My desk as I left it last night after stuffing sock monkeys while watching Project Runway. I rarely watch T.V., but I really like this show. On my desk today:
-one stuffed monkey waiting to be hand-sewn together
-three sewn and unstuffed monkeys
-autumn tree doll in progress
I’m loving the Buffalo Batt Superfluff (what a great name). It is mighty fluffy, but firm in that crunchy way. Boy that makes sense.
On Tuesday I had a marvelous outing with Stella while Roxy was home with my super sitter Sarah. Among other stops, we went to the library and I ventured upstairs to the grown-up books. I found this neat book after recently discussing with Mimi how I’d like to learn to make better clothes for dolls
Some great line drawings of corsets and hairstyles and coats and bonnets, plus good directions and patterns to boot.
We’re off to CT for the weekend. Hope you have a good one.

I love the dark brown color for the big hair doll, you pick the best colors! What type of fabric are you using, it looks almost like terry cloth? Great book, love the pattern for the coat in the last photo. Have a great trip!

Hi there, I’ve been reading your blog for maybe six months. Before last week, my favourite stuffed animal of yours were the gentle lambs. But my NEW favourite is definitely your tree dollies! I like them because they will be something all yours, that nobody else does. And I love the proportions and leafy embellishments that you’ve chosen. Best wishes!

Another great book on doll clothing is The Doll’s Dressmaker by Venus Dodge. The one you show looks amazing!
