Last night we arrived home from our vacation. We survived two very turbulant flights. Traveling with a toddler is also pretty crazy, but we made it. The weather was very sunny and warm and we had lots of beach time. Roxanne got to spend time with grandma and grandpa and interact with both of their dogs, which was very exciting for her. I got to hang out with my sister and even managed to do some shopping, thrift and otherwise.
Before I left, this package of vibrant vintage fabric arrived:
I bought a bag of assorted vintage buttons at a thrift store in Ocean View. I also bought some origami paper, awesome square stone beads and a Japanese monkey mug at Japanesque in Bethany. All of these are in a package we mailed home which hasn’t arrived yet. I will post pictures when it gets here.
At a little store in Rehobeth I bought this terrific book of postcards by Yoshitomo Nara.
They are too good to mail out. I love the graffiti backgrounds
I missed sewing and crafting and blogging while I was away. I am so glad I cut out the two yellow and black owls before I left so I could jump right back in last night. They are almost done. It’s so good to be home!
